Women who have been addicted and homeless are amongst our most vulnerable members of any community.   Most addicted, homeless women are survivors of trauma due to physical and, or, sexual abuse.   Most addicted, homeless women will suffer physical and sexual assault while on the streets.  It is this population that the Matt Talbot Center’s Women’s Clinical Treatment Program is designed to assist.  Our staff is specifically trained to provide care to women whose histories have included trauma in addition to addiction.  Treatment is provided in three phases, each lasting four months.  Phase I is an intensive, outpatient program, Phase II is the equivalent of traditional outpatient care.   Phase III is the equivalent of traditional aftercare with weekly meetings and an emphasis on re-entry into the community.
